About Us
Established in the year 1985, the Karthigeya Group, has been leading the way in the domain of Industrial Design, Industrial Design Services, CAD Services, CAD CAM Services, Engineering Services, Manufacturing solutions, Injection Tool & Die Making, Plastic Moulding, EOT Crane Manufacturing, Sheet Metal Fabrication & Manufacturing Precision Engineering Components and sub assemblies.
Our range of services and components are known for features such as usage of superior grade raw material, high levels of tensile strength, robust fabrication, precise dimensions, resistance to corrosion, scratches and abrasion. Our engineering services offer individualistic solutions to our clients, particularly because we offer customized services.
Due to our commitment to quality we have won numerous certifications, including an ISO 9001:2000 and TS16949. We are in the process of attaining an ISO14000 certification. Presently, we are moving forward towards becoming the total solution providers within the industry.
Under the guidance of Mr. Dhandapani, we are reaching out to a larger clientele, as compared to the one we have already garnered. At the moment, we cater to the needs of industries such as automotives, medical appliances, electronics, petroleum, aerospace and general engineering.

The Birth and Growth of the Organization
1985: The inception of the organization as Karthigeya Industries. Founded by Mr. Subramanian and Mr. Dhandapani, the organization was involved in the manufacture of tube expanders, jigs and fixtures.
1997: The organization was converted into one that manufactured plastic mould makers by Mr. Arumugam and Mr. Nandakumar.
2001: The offices were shifted to the SIDCO Industrial Estate, Thirumudivakkam, Chennai, India.
2002: The company was given the status of a private limited company.
2004: The organization won its ISO 9001:2000 certifications.
2005: The injection molding division was officially launched.
2006: The organization was certified as TS 16949, in particular for the injection molding division. It was also certified for 5’S’ practices and won the runner up award.
2007: Karthigeya Plastics & Technologies Pvt. Ltd was created by the efforts of Mr. P.R. Earnarst and Mr. S.R. Jagadeesan. This is the new plant moulding division. The same year the company won the first prize for the best 5'S' practices.
2008: The launch of K-Tech – an industrial design house division, which is involved in the manufacture high volume engineering products and assembly. The same year saw the setting up of the painting division for plastic parts.

Our Quality Management system (QMS) and Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery solutions ensure our clients the cost effectiveness they desire. We take proper specifications form the customers and create connected review documents and manuals.
Our team is involved in development, freezing of special characteristics and regular review of failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) and control plans, including the actions required to reduce any potential risks. They also indulge in error-proofing, setting approval, periodic inspection, X-bar R-chart control, capability monitoring, product audit, layout inspection, 100% gauging and frequency.
All our processes are given proper validation via defined criteria for Cpk, Ppk and PPM along with testing and calibration carried out by external, commercial and independent laboratories. We also ensure accreditation from the IEC 17025 or the domestic equivalent.

Our engineers understand the requirements of the client and convey the same to the rest of the team. We have more than 20 engineers who have trained at reputed institutes like Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) and Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF).

Our fabrication experts supervise the proper cutting and molding of the gauges, fixtures, tools and dies, as per the specifications given by the clients and in accordance to set norms of quality.

Warehouse and Packaging
